How to be Emo

A. Maybe you want to express your feelings through poetry or music.
B. Or just want a style that fits you if you’re quiet and emotional.

II. Appreciate Emo Music
A. Finding Emo bands, or emotional bands.
1. 30 Seconds to Mars, AFI, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Rise Against.
2. Or any Indie and underground music
B. Make up your own songs
1. Write poetry or lyrics
2. Play the guitar, bass, violin, or any other instrument that sounds Emo.
III. Dress Emo
A. Tops and Bottoms
1. Emo Band logo, black, checkered, or stripe shirts
2. Where skinny jeans or black skirts.
3. Leg or arm warmers
B. Accessories
1. Studded belts
2. Black worn pair of sneakers, usually vans or converse
3. Rubber or studded bracelets and any Emo-looking necklaces.
4. Thick, black-rimmed glasses
5. Wallet chain
IV. Emo hair style and Make up
A. Dyeing it
1. Black or brown with blonde or unnatural color streaks
2. Add some random colors that fit you
B. The cut
1. Very short, bob-like with long bangs that sweep to one side covering your eye for girls.
2. If long make it very choppy and lots of high lights.
3. For guy, spike up the back side and pat down the front side.
4. Also usually have straighten hair unless your spiking the hair
C. Make up
1. Black Eye liner
2. Black, red, or dark blue eye shadow.

A. How you should be.

3. Quiet.
B. You don’t have to be.
1. Depressed
2. Insecure
3. Resentful
C. Always remember you are still a person even if people make fun of you!
